Buckinghamshire THT were proud to be at the Bucks County Museum Pride event on 16th November. We were excited to be spreading the word about HIVTW and also promoting positive sexual health routines. The event ran through-out the afternoon and into the evening. Young people and adults were able to take part in craft activities and making pride pledges as well as learning new make up skills and learning new dance moves. Into the evening adults were able to party and watch comedy, drag and burlesques performers.
We were excited to meet Marteene Pringle at the event and have a selfie with her. She is an ambassador for Sparkle, who support the transgender community. She has also recently won a National Hate Crime Award and encourages others in the trans community to report hate crime.
The event was an excellent event for the local community and an opportunity for them to access support from local and national organisations.
