HIV Testing Week 2024

As part of National HIV Testing week, sexual health and wellbeing charity Brook is inviting everyone to take charge of their sexual health by testing regularly for HIV. Knowing your HIV status puts you in control of your health. Tests are free, and the sooner a diagnosis is made, the sooner treatment can be started to reduce the viral load to undetectable levels.

 Throughout the week, Brook will be hosting National HIV Testing week events at the following venues:

  • Wycombe College
  • Aylesbury College
  • Buckinghamshire New University
  • ‘Health on the Highstreet’ at Unit 33 (Friar’s Square Shopping Centre)
  • Amersham College
  • YMCA

These events will feature Brook specialists providing free HIV testing (for those over the age of 18), distributing free condoms and providing information and advice on HIV prevention, testing and treatment. By providing accurate education and fostering open conversations, Brook aims to challenge the stigma surrounding HIV and empower individuals to make informed choices about their sexual health.
