Condom Distribution Scheme (CDS) Buckinghamshire

News |

From 1 April 2026, young people in Buckinghamshire will be able to access free condoms through our new Condom Distribution Scheme (CDS), which will replace the current C-card scheme.

The primary purpose of this change is to increase accessibility and use of condoms by enabling young people to obtain them discreetly and confidentially, thereby reducing barriers associated with the current C-card scheme. Training on the new CDS will be provided to all participating outlets. Existing outlets will be invited to attend refresher training sessions that outline the revised processes, best practice, and offering an opportunity to raise any questions.

Further communications regarding the transition will be issued over the coming weeks and months.

CDS Introduction Webinars

Brook will also be hosting a series of 30-minute introductory webinars to provide a brief overview of the new scheme. These webinars are open and free to organisations and outlets in Buckinghamshire.
